Pollstar's 2022 Red Rocks Award for Best Outdoor Concert Venue, AIA Middle Tennessee 2016 Honor Award, AIA Middle Tennessee 2016 Merit Award, ULI Nashville 2016 Excellence in Development People's Choice Award, ULI Nashville 2016 Excellence in Development Award, Pollstar 2016 Best New Major Concert Venue, Academy of Country Music 2016 Venue of the Year (Medium Capacity), Nashville Downtown Partnership 2015 World Class Park (Riverfront Park)/Venue Award, and one of six unique project finalists featured in World Architecture News 2017, along with five other projects located throughout the world, for the Performing Spaces Award.
Multiple structures located in Downtown Nashville include: A new outdoor amphitheater with 60’-tall braced frames and 100’ long-span joists and trusses and complex sloped roofs. Six site buildings with load-bearing CMU walls and joists. A 100’ x 30’ steel canopy for a VIP pavilion.
Project consists of a new, one-story, 25,000 square-foot building. The structure is conventional steel-framed.
Adventure Science Center and Sudekum Planetarium
Project consists of the 38,000-square-foot museum addition. The structure was conventional steel-framed.
Country Music Hall of Fame
This museum is a four-story, custom steel-framed facility designed to house the Country Music Hall of Fame, museum, gift shop, and CMA offices.
Tennessee Bicentennial Capitol Mall
A 19-acre urban park located in Nashville, TN. EMC designed supporting structures for various monuments and miscellaneous structures.
Frist Center for the Visual Arts
Major rehabilitation of the 80-year old main post office located at corner of Ninth Avenue and Broadway in Nashville, TN to become an art gallery. The entire structure had to be analyzed for modern codes, and major structural modifications were required for the new functions. Additions for loading docks, courtyards, and cafeteria space were also part of the project.
Two new bathroom buildings, each housing 150 toilets, are the first permanent bathrooms on the site of Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.
The structure consists of load bearing block wall, bar joist at 10' on center, and exposed 3" laminated wood decking.
Tennessee State Museum

A new two-story 137,000-square-foot museum with open galleries, exhibit space, educational space and an auditorium. The new facility is slated to open in late 2018.
Madison Community Center
The 25,000-square-foot facility will include a gymnasium, dance room, fully-equipped fitness center, meeting rooms, and indoor track. Additions to the park will include a new soccer field with lights, a new playground, and parking lot. The new center will be a LEED certified facility.
Tennessee State Library & Archives
2022 AGC Middle TN Build Award of Excellence, 2021 ENR Southeast Merit Award, and 2021 ULI Nashville Excellence in Development Award.
The three-story, approximately 165,000-s.f. building, with one-level of below-grade parking, is projected to be completed fall of 2019. The facility will include a climate-controlled chamber for safely storing historic books and manuscripts as well as a state-of-the-art robotic retrieval system. There will be dedicated exhibit spaces for Tennessee’s founding documents and rotating exhibits, as well as a grand reading room with seating for 100 readers and scholars. There will be a vault for storing photographic negatives, an early literacy center designed specifically for children with a visual disability, and a recording lab to produce oral histories and audio books on Tennessee history.
Sevier Park Community Center
Construction of the new 20,000-square-foot regional community center was completed in the Spring of 2014. It includes a gymnasium, dance room, fully equipped fitness center, meeting rooms, and an indoor track.
Smith Springs Community Center
This project is a recipient of a 2019 AIA Middle Tennessee award.
A new 35,000-square-foot facility. Construction is conventional steel framing supported by load-bearing masonry walls.
