Ensworth CampusNatatorium (Architect JJCA) This project included a new natatorium structure with an elevated Olympic-sized competition swimming pool, along with a smaller instructional pool. Locker rooms and support facilities for the football stadium were also included. Theater (Architect JJCA) A new, 52,000-square-foot, 678-seat performing arts theatre. The structure includes a full fly tower, lighting catwalks, dressing rooms, scene shop, and a green room. Ensworth High School (Hastings Architecture) A new, high-end private school campus located on a 124-acre site. The project consists of a total of 224,000 square feet in six separate buildings which include: an academics building, commons building, arts building, athletic building, administration building, and a clock tower. Also included are athletic fields and viewing stands for high school competition. Ensworth Tennis Center A three-story, 155,000-square-foot indoor athletic facility including two levels of post-tensioned concrete parking structure, six full-size indoor tennis courts in a 49,000-square-foot column-free steel-roofed area, and spectator and locker room spaces.

Montgomery Bell Academy Campus2021 AIA Tennessee Design Award for MBA H. Frank Burkholder Wellness Center. H. Frank Burkholder Wellness and Event Center A new, 200,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility. Field House (Architect: Hastings Architecture Associates, LLC) A new, three-story, steel-framed athletic field house of approximately 200,000 square feet. The field house includes: an arena, indoor practice field, wrestling rooms, practice gym, fitness, and miscellaneous support space. Lowry Hall (Architect: Hastings Architecture Associates, LLC) A new, 41,000-square-foot classroom building that includes office space, research rooms, 14 classrooms, and a lecture hall. A main-level student center was also constructed, which opens to the new outdoor plaza. Wallace Hall (Architect: Hastings Architecture Associates, LLC) A new, two-story 43,000-square foot dining hall with eight new classrooms. The Great Hall serves as a meeting space and multi-function space for the school. Parking Garage (Architect: Hastings Architecture Associates, LLC) A new, 200,000-square-foot parking garage. The garage includes space for an interior firing range. The top of the garage was used for a soccer field. Science Building (Architect: Tuck-Hinton Architecture & Design) A 30,000-square-foot, three-story, free-standing building on the MBA campus. The building includes 12 state-of-the-art science classrooms and labs as well as a 1,100-seat lecture hall. Massey Addition A 12,000-square-foot addition to the existing Massey Junior High building. The addition is a two-story structure that includes a large multi-purpose meeting room.

Explore! Community SchoolABC Greater Tennessee 2020 Excellence in Construction Eagle Award and 2020 ULI Nashville Runner Up. The new, 85,858-square-foot K-8 Explore! Community Charter School features 36 classrooms, art, science and music rooms, small group rooms, a dining room, library and office space, plus ample makerspace. The exterior is comprised of insulated metal wall panels in school colors that create a unique civic architecture and provide a high thermal envelope (R-value) for heating and cooling efficiency. In a nod to the adjacent Martha O’Bryan Center, brick veneer complements the vibrant panels.

Christ Presbyterian Academy Fine Arts CenterChicago Athenaeum Museum for Architecture and Design American Architecture Awards 2023 honorable mention. Featured in ArchDaily November 2021. The new, approximate 45,000-square-foot structure is the heart of the campus. The new Fine Arts Center includes a 550-seat theatre, black box theatre, makeup and dressing rooms, a costume shop, scene shop, green room, administrative and art department offices.

James Lawson High SchoolOctober 2024 featured in Architectural Record Magazine – “The Innovation Issue”. Governor’s Environmental Stewardship Award in the Building Green Category. 2023 AIA Middle Tennessee Merit Award. James Lawson High School is a new, approximate 260,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art school. The new school replaces Hillwood High School, a 68-year-old building.
